MYP event registration
Recent changes to MYP schedule of events!
Based on feedback from coordinators and teachers, we have rescheduled 5 of the MYP roundtables to begin later in October. This should give more teachers a chance to attend once things have settled in a little.
Language & Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals & Societies, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Design will all begin on October 29th. Registration for these roundtables will remain open until the 28th in an effort to get more of you into the discussions.
Roundtables & Workshops - New 2020-21 dates below
Roundtables are $70 per registrant for MNIB member schools
For the first time, non-MNIB members (from other states/countries) may register for MNIB Roundtables for $100
Workshops are: 1-day $155, 2-day $280
As of 2020 -21 the MDE reimbursement for IB training events will be 50%
The roundtable sessions focus on investigation of issues, learning new strategies and resources, and building capacity for experienced teachers. Teachers will experience networking across subject areas, across grade levels, and across districts. These sessions also provide an overview for interested or new staff in schools that are implementing the IB programs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Fall semester MNIB roundtables and workshops will be offered exclusively online.
We will use the format shown below. Essentially, each session will take place over 4 one-hour online meetings with additional collaborative work taking place between these meetings as determined by the participants. Roundtables will include a facilitator responsible for following the agenda but the discussion will be collaborative and each participant will be able to share their best practices with the group. Subject updates, assessment, unit planning, and various teaching ideas will be included in the agenda.
As you can see, the meetings will be about a month apart and held in the evening on Thursdays. Generally, we will use Google Meets as the online platform but once the cohort begins meeting they may agree to another format or platform to best meet the needs of the group. To earn the CEU's for the sessions, participants will need to be present for attendance taken at each session.
