As the elementary PYP coordinator, she supports transdisciplinary learning and teacher growth across the school. This interactive, hands-on workshop invites PYP educators to explore and redefine assessment practices that truly reflect and support student learning. Anchored in the guiding question, “How do we know that we learned?”, participants will investigate ways to gather, interpret/analyze, create, and act upon evidence of learning in authentic, student-centered, culturally relevant ways.

Jinah brings a systems-thinking lens to assessment, blending her current role in academic testing with her classroom roots. She has served as a grade-level teacher and reading interventionist, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how data can inform instruction while honoring the whole child. Her work focuses on making assessment practices meaningful, equitable, and actionable across diverse learning contexts.

- Begin to formulate an IB MYP “elevator” speech
- Connect the Learner Profile to their interactions with students
- Develop an understanding of the MYP’s framework and requirements, including:
- how students need Approaches to Learning skills across subjects and years
- how the Community Project and the Personal Project are the capstone projects in 8th and 10th grade
